Melinda K. (Mantlo) Cox was born in 1974 in Grand Junction, CO.  She moved to Lander in June of 1999 and refers to Lander as her home.  She and Karen Harms raised their two daughters, Kaylynn and Avery Cox, in Lander where they both graduated from Fremont County School District #1.  Melinda is a graduate of Colorado Mesa University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice.  She is currently employed by Fremont County School District #1 as the Community Mental Health Grant Manager/In-School Suspension Monitor.  Previously, she was employed by Fremont County where she served as the Executive Director of the Juvenile Justice Services and Treatment Courts of Fremont County since 1999.  Being an active member of Fremont County and the State of Wyoming to improve juvenile justice services as well as access to services for those in recovery is a passion.  She is a member of the State Advisory Council on Juvenile Justice and the Wyoming Drug Court Association. During her free time she is dedicated and is passionate about coaching the LVHS women's basketball team. Previously she served on the Lander City Council from 2014 - 2018 in Ward 2.
