Profile

Originally from Iowa City, IA, Missy has called Lander home since 1988. Drawn to the joys of small, tight-knit community, as well as the fabulous backyard of the Wind River Mountains, she found in Lander a place to sink her roots. Missy graduated from Davidson College with a BA in English Literature, and from Seattle University with an MA in Organizational Development. Through her work, she improves processes in hospitals; facilitates leadership development for groups and individuals; creates structure through strategic planning; and provides individual coaching to perform with greater capacity. One of her most beloved jobs is serving as a coach to the Lander Middle School Nordic Ski Team. In the spirit of community service, chairs the Fremont Air Service Team (FAST), directs Lander Nordic Ski Association, is a Lander Rotary member and board director, serves on Fremont County Search and Rescue, and served 2 terms on the Lander Economic Development Association (LEDA) board. For hobbies and relaxation, she’s an avid knitter, fervent gardener, a decent enough Nordic skier, loves hiking in the mountains, and adores dogs— especially her spoiled dachshund who joins her on hikes in the mountains.
