Public Works Department Responsibilities

The goal of the Public Works Department is to provide our citizens with the best quality product and service possible and do it at a fair and reasonable cost. We are committed to providing service beyond what is considered the normal standard of the industry in the delivery of public improvement projects, drinking water quality, wastewater treatment, maintenance operations, cemetery services, parks and recreation and all other services.

Public Works Director/City Engineer Responsibilities

The Public Works Director/City Engineer is responsible for thef planning and management of the City's public infrastructure systems via the six Public Works divisions. The director is responsible for developing long-range capital improvement plans and budgets based on the City Master Plans and provides professional and technical support to the Mayor, City Council, and committees on all public works activities.
