PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF LANDER
REVISIONS TO THE ZONING CODE AND MAP

The City of Lander City Council will be holding a public hearing and first reading on the ordinance
amending the zoning code and city zoning map
on November 18, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
in the City Council Chambers located at 240 Lincoln Street, Lander, Wyoming 82520.

The City of Lander Planning Commission has reviewed and amended the current zoning code
and has received public comment on the proposed changes.

Proposed Zoning Code Amendment

The City Council has asked for one additional change to the zoning code
The R-5 District allows motels and hotels as a conditional use. The change
would allow the hours of the motel/hotels to be set at the conditional use hearing.

PLANNING COMMISSION

The City of Lander Planning Commission also serves as the zoning board - Board of Adjustment. The Board of Adjustment meets the second Thursday of each month 6:30 p.m. at City Hall and the Planning Commission meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
at City Hall.

The City of Lander Planning Commission make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council concerning new subdivisions, annexations, requests for water and sewer, and street and alley vacation requests.

The City of Lander Board of Adjustment acts as the zoning board. This board makes decisions on variance requests, conditional use requests and home occupation requests

(Meets 2nd & 4th Thursdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. City Hall
The Planning Commission also acts as the Board of Adjustment meeting
as the Board of Adjustment on the 2nd Thursday of each month )
